Life Is Better With Color | Week 3

Happy Tuesday everyone !

I am here with you today sharing some pocket pages that I created for the Simple Stories Creative Team. They are featured on their blog today. You can visit their blog and see all of the Creative Team members creations HERE.

These photos and stories are all from week 3. January 18 - January 24.

I made a title card with some washi tape, some die cut embellishments, a few stickers and a date stamp. I seriously love the package of clear photo stickers, the star sticker was perfect in the middle of the dates. I balanced out the card with the enamel dots in between the week 3 and the dates.

I usually try to keep the title card fairly simple so that I can embellish more of my cards, photos, ect.

This first journaling card has a great saying on it and a small space for journaling on the bottom. These types of cards are fun, they have a saying or word phrase and then you can add a few lines of journaling. The other journaling card is about the corner photo. Every day after school we have snacks and unwind before we get on with the rest of our day.

This photo is the scene of our kitchen table every day after school. I am glad that I took a picture to remember it by. Simple Stories makes some fun wood veneers and I used the ampersand on the photo. I placed some journaling in the empty space of my photo.

The top right left photo is a photo of Noah. He came home from school and said that he has learned how to tie his shoes. " I practiced all day." I like to add journaling onto the photo so that I can save space if it is a busy week.

On Saturday Maddie and Noah did some bouncy ball racing down the hallway. It was so funny to watch. I cropped a photo and added a few embellishments around it. I felt that there was a lot of white space so I added a strip of washi tape to the bottom.

Friday night was great ! Have any of you seen the commercial about the parents, fruit loops, and mario bros. ? Well, it's been on my list to recreate ! I added some fun embellishments onto the photo.

One last card I want to talk about is the filler card. I used a few of the fun circle shaped stickers and a chipboard piece. All throughout the spread there seemed to be a theme of round things. The multiple bowls and bouncy balls. I thought it would be fun to add some more circles.

Here is the second page.

Sometimes I like to add in a 4x6 journaling card. I used this card to add in more journaling about our week. On the top and the bottom I added some embellishments.

This week the announcement was made about the Simple Stories Creative Team. I put the photo of all of the team members on the right side and added in some journaling on the left.

That is it for me today. Week 3 is in the books. I am going to work on getting week 2 up on the blog soon. Take care everybody.
